THE SITE IS INFORMATION · THE CONTRACT IS THE DEAL
Terms of use
LAST UPDATED · JULY 17, 2026
The short version: this website explains how we build and how we price. It is not itself a contract. The document that binds us to your job is the written contract we both sign. That's on purpose, and it protects you as much as it protects us.
What this site is for
Blue Jay Concrete publishes its build spec, its pricing approach, and educational content about concrete work in the greater Houston area. We publish these so you can compare us against any other bidder. Use them exactly that way.
Site content is general information
Articles, diagrams, and spec pages here describe how concrete work generally behaves and the standard we commit to build to. They are not engineering advice for your specific property. Soil, drainage, trees, and existing structures differ lot by lot, and structural design is the territory of licensed professional engineers. For foundation engineering, a PE designs; we pour to the design.
One boundary worth repeating: we pour new-construction concrete. We do not diagnose, assess, or repair foundation problems, and nothing on this site is a structural assessment of your property.
Specs and pricing pages are not offers
Our published spec is the standard we hold ourselves to on the jobs we take. Our pricing page explains how pricing works and what moves the number. Neither page is a quote or an offer to contract. A real quote is written, addressed to you, and valid for the period stated on it.
The written contract governs
Every job we take runs on a signed written contract covering scope, schedule, price, and payment terms. If anything on this website ever appears to conflict with your signed contract, the contract wins. Any workmanship warranty for your job is defined in that contract, not by this website.
Using our content
The content on this site belongs to Blue Jay Concrete. Don't scrape it into a lead-gen template or pass it off as your own company's. One deliberate exception: our published spec exists to be shared. Download it, print it, and hand it to competing bidders. That is what it's for.
No warranties on site content
We work to keep everything here accurate and current, but the site is provided as-is. Errors are possible, and to the extent Texas law allows, we aren't liable for losses caused by relying on general site content instead of a written quote and contract for your specific job.
Third-party links
Where we link to outside resources, like county permit offices and material references, we don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content.
Governing law
These terms and this site are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. Questions about anything here can reach us at blue.jay.svc@gmail.com, by call or text at (832) 693-0318, or through the quote page.
